Not 100% sure if this is the right thread, but just flew eastern J41, I'm fortunate that my job takes me around the UK/Scandinavia. Thus I've been on a fair share of turbo props. S340-j41 (Eastern) Do 328 (Scot airways), Dash 100/200 (wideroe) Emb 120 (Skywest) ATR 42 (Aer Arann) did book a flight on J32 Farcecity (oops) Varcity air (enough said) Out of these what are the operating costs for each one, which is the cheapest to run etc.
My favourite has to be the J41. But there are usually only a 20-30% load factor with eastern it amasing they still run but there a great airline.
Why havn't they been re engined any of these a/c so to improve fuel burn etc and compete with dash/atr.This end of the market (20-30 seat) seems flat, except for the dash 8/atr 42?
My favourates in order are
J41
Do328
S340
D200
ATR42
EMB120

I guess you mean the Dash-8 series of a/c when you say Dash 100/200? I don't know about the earlier models but it is my understanding that the Dash-8 400 series has a very low breakeven factor.
