Win 7 32 bit

This csrss.exe file is showing in Task Manager. I'm not sure if it was there until recently. It can not be got rid of, and will not show its properties. However, "Search programs and files" shows it, and it informs me it can not be run in 32 bit mode. Yet, there it is in Processes. Its size varies - 700 to 900 k So, seems active as well.

Anyone know what this is?

This may or may not be connected.

Only real trouble I'm having is with my mail. (Yahoo with SBC.global.) Sometimes it just shows a blank area where the message/pictures should be. Going to 'Reply', kicks it back to life and I can read the message.

The other day, I noticed Norton checking something arriving...I don't have Norton. Not in the list of programs to be offered for removal.

I've got csrss.exe. WinXP Home SP3. It's the client server runtime subsystem. No problems.:)

It's ALWAYS there. Leave it alone :)

Client Server Runtime Process

I've got two copies running, no idea why, don't really worry about it.

Thanks for that. Just one of those things one notices after years of it being there.
