Dear all,

I'm interested to do a rating on a Caravan and on an Islander. I'm coming in South Africa in January 2011 but have no idea where to do the rating specially for the Islander..

Any advise is welcome! :)

thank you.

I would have thought that a thorough search on Pprune would throw up Caravan conversion courses. The problem surely will be with the BN2. There used to be one or two operated by a coastal airline years ago but these days I suspect that only the SA military have any. That's probably the same as in Mauritius. It's operationally quite expensive and rather specific in design.
Here's a link to a register service. It might be easiest to find out who in SA even has an Islander and then approach them.

Here's another not so amusing link. Perhaps it was the last Islander?

I think Copenhagen Air Taxi perhaps can help you.
They operate the BN2 daily from roskilde airport close to copenhagen.

My apologies for the poor presentation of that page, as linked by Little Cloud. Efforts over the last few hours have wrought some improvement, removing excess HTML codes and generally reformatting. It appears my PC text editor and my website don't agree on how things should be!

There'll no doubt still be errors there -so please feel free to let me know via the website and I'll make any necessary corrections.

Regards

RS

If you're prepared to travel a little further -New Zealand- I know the BN-2 guru out there personally. PM if you'd like details of how to reach him.
