I used this route quite frequently from 2003 till last year but it has disappeared,I can find no mention of the reason for its removal on the internet and ryanair don't take emails
can anyone enlighten me as to why it was cut?

Not sure why the route was cut but have done some research for you
...easyJet...
Luton to Milan Malpensa
London Gatwick to Milan Malpensa
London Gatwick to Milan Linate
...Ryanair...
Milan Bergamo to London Stansted
Milan Bergamo to London Gatwick
Not sure if they are any good to you but they are options if need be :ok:

BGY was dropped as Ryanair reduced flights from Luton last year and again this year.

i realised the other options but it was nice just a 5 minute taxi this end of LTN and a 10 minute taxi from BGY to the cita alta of bergamo
I am just glad i didn't buy the apartment i looked at

Well, I wouldn't rely a real estate investment upon Ryanair flight routes..
