I am a current holder of an Australian PPL licence and have recently started my Commercial Studies.

I will probably sit the seven CASA exams with Assessment Services Pty Limited (ASL) at Archerfield (Brisbane).
If I pass an exam (+70%) but recieve a KDR (Knowledge Deficiency Report) how am I able to address the KDR?

During my PPL exam I recieved one KDR which was handled by an additional question provided to me by the CFI at my particular flight school. As I won't be affiliated with a flight school how can I close out a KDR?

Thanks in Advance.

When you do your CPL flight test, either the ATO, or recommending CFI will quiz you on each of your KDRs during the ground component.

If you look on the CPL test form (http://www.casa.gov.au/wcmswr/_assets/main/manuals/regulate/fcl/form090.pdf) in the ground section: 'Satisfactory knowledge of all KDR items'.

The best thing to do is after each test, review each KDR and write down the correct answer, then re-study these, as well as the other parts on the test form, before your flight test.

Thanks for the reply.
I trolled the CASA site and couldn't find the answer.

Final questions:
Will the KDR answers need to be in written form or verbal or a combination of both?
I have read a thread on this site that suggested someone got a KDR printout (probably after all his exams were completed). Does anyone know if this is possible.

I seem to remember my PPL KDR's being written but its been a while....

The KDR will be done verbally. I do know of students typing it out & handing it over to the ATO but if the ATO does ask you and items on the KDR, you will need to explain to him.

A KDR will be printed out after you have completed your test at ASL.
