I have noticed that the Dove at Malaga Airport has been gradually rotting away. It is situated to the south west of the airport outside the fire station. The co-ordinates are 36°40'21.94"N / 4°29'56.92"W. Does anyone know the history of this aircraft?

It is N9888A c/n 04534 ex CN-MBA arrived circa 1979. Their is a sister Dove 7A N9890A c/n 04535 ex CN-MBB preserved by the airport arrivals building. This was retrieved from a scrap yard at Torremolinos.

N9888A c/n 04534 ex CN-MBA is a firemans practice airframe whilst the preserved aircraft is or was displayed as PH-VLA.

This has probably been pointed out previously but as a new group member I believe you have mixed up the Malaga DH Doves. The one on the fire dump is CN-MBB while the preserved example is ex CN-MBA.

I noted the 2 Doves 7s at Malaga in September 1982 They were both in poor condition then. N9888A was marked "LASA", and CN-MBB was visible on a cowling left nearby. I assume that this was cn 04535. The other, N9890A, was also marked "LASA" and in bad shape. This was presumably 04534, ex CN-MBA, although I did not see the data plates.
