I checked, and no, it's not April 1st.......

It’s late at night. The enemy is out there, lying in wait. Only he’s well protected, impervious to your advances, hidden deep inside his fortified bunker. Your mission is clear: you need that thing torn up. But your missile lacks heft, girth and thrust. Your answer? The HARDBUT.

Meet the Hard and Deeply Buried Target Next Generation Multiple Warhead System, known as — yes — the HARDBUT. It’s designed to go deep where others can’t.......

You should worry. On t'railway we have something called Automatic Route Setting Equipment. Needless to say the Equipment bit was dropped smartish when the acronym was first printed. I'm imagining the acronym-led headline if someone went to war using said missile against said equipment. "Hardbut used against...no,don't go there!

In the 1980's, BAe changed the subheading of the various sections so often we literally lost track of who we were meant to be.

For quite a while we were 'Military Aircraft Division' until it was pointed out we were MAD...

A little more information on Flight Global (http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2010/10/15/348497/mbda-reveals-work-on-hardbut-bunker-buster.html)

Maybe next year we could lend a few to the Israelis for practical demonstration purposes... :E

The thing about banter is that you have to be able to take it as well as you give it.... :p

True O ORAC but you have to recognise it before you can take it.

Bit like operating site flexibility is the most enabling capability of the lot.
