Does anybody believe we are about to turn the corner with regards to corporate and airlines in Europe starting to hire again in the immediate future.

Will the Mid East carriers nicking JAA pilots cause a hiring boom now!!
:ok:

The "road show" won't achieve jack sh!t.

It's highly unlikely that anyone who meets the experience criteria and is interested in applying, has not already done so

What's more likely to happen in Europe is exactly the opposite ... as soon as anything resembling an airline recovery occurs back in Europe, a large percentage of the several thousand out of work JAA pilots who were forced to come out here to the sandpit, will be heading home as fast as they can.

i agree luke.
all the guys at fr that i talk to thought emirates was a great idea until they thought what would they be doing in five/ten years and realised that they would want to come back to europe and would end up back in the left seat of 737/a320 which is where they will be in 6-12 months anyway.:ugh:
i think ek and ey will struggle to get want they want out of european pilots considering the package and the hours they will have to work if they go.
unless they do DEC in which case they make the numbers they need.

Emirates have been doing roadshows for the past year or so across Europe, this is nothing new. Just shows how desperate they are to fill up the seats.

Does anyone have any details of the roadshow? What is the purpose (recruitment?), when and where is it going to be?
