Hi guys,

Its time for me to do my CPL revalidation. I obtained my CPL with ME IR last year in October, meaning I got to do my reval this year october, and I thought I had to do the 3hr PIC since i didn't fly at all in these 12months.....

well I was shopping around for rates and one school told me the 3hr PIC is no longer a requirement, i just need to prove am competent on an RG aircraft then do my reval test.

Can anybody out there confirm this to me that the 3hrs PIC no longer needed.

Cheers

3 hours PIC in a year no longer required.

However, a dual check and a letter of recommendation from the instructor is now needed in order for you to test with the DE.

Good luck!

You do not mention which country issued your CPL. Each country's civil aviation agency has different requirements. As you indicate you are located in the Seychelles presumably your licence is from that country. The Seychelles civil aviation agency should be able to explain its requirements.
