American Flyers - Morristown NJ

Hi guys,

I was quoted 55 - 60K USD for FAA Pilot training in American Flyers, Morristown NJ. For this you get:
-PPL Single Engine (11k USD standalone price)
-IR Single Engine
-CPL Single Engine

No MER, ATPL's or CFI i /CFI ii, they are done at another location in Florida for additional cost. SIM time is also charged for.

It's being a few years but that sounds quite expensive to me
I did my PPL there. In the end was not really impressed. In theory they should be good but as I found out a lot depends on the manager.
Unless things have changed the planes were pretty tired and marginally equipped. There was a lot of turnover in the staff and very little focus on getting you through.

NJ is a relatively expensive place to stay, though you are close to NYC which is nice. Where are you from? There was another school at Morristown which in the end I wished I had used, but I heard complaints about them as well.
