I used to be a loadie in the airforce and was wondering what a civvie loadmaster earns these days.

Anyone ?:)

How long is a piece of string?!

It all depends on who you work for - airline or agency - where they're based, how much you're expected to work, fleet type, employer integrity, etc., etc., ad nauseum!

And, of course, if you can even find any vacancies!

Very, VERY, tough market out there these days!

Thanks for the feedback CM.

One reason for the question is that I heard there is a operator in the Gulf region paying loadies around U$5000 per month.

Thats more than I earn as a pilot operating in the same area, similar aircraft type, hence my curiosity.

An ex-colleague of mine was offered a job with Atlas based in Dubai, (they have a contract with emirates), he was offered $250 a day including per diems, the roster was 20 days on 10 days off...

so yes, $5000 per month.

Don't know about accomodation or any other expenses.
