I am sure this has already been answered, but when did CX stop flying the a340-600 aircraft and where/to whom did they go next.

Stopped flying for CX in Nov 2008, was returned to ILFC in May 2009. Then ILFC had great difficulty getting Hainan Airrlines, the next customer, to accept them. Because of the recession, Hainan didn't have enought new business to justify the new a/c.
still flying with Hainan I believe.

Many thanks. Appears that Hainan Airlines currently operates three aircraft.
