I have just booked a place on a skills aptitude testing day with The Pilot Training College (Train to be an Airline Pilot - Pilot Training College (http://www.pilottrainingcollege.com)) for the end of Oct. With a view to gaining a place on their modular zero to ATPL course in Florida and Ireland. Can anyone offer any insight on how the day will run, or advice? Many thanks.

The way it ran for me was:

Arrive/meet and greet with other candidates
Presentation about the college, courses etc
Interview with CFO and another instructor (nothing scary more about you than your flying experiences)
Aptitude tests which the information pack they send you explains quite well, just brush up on all the maths questions etc.

And then a debrief where they offer you a place (or dont).

Very good day and certainly a good experience, everyone i met was very nice and chatty.

I'll predict the outcome: You've passed.

I'll also suggest that they might even offer a discount if you sign up there and then.
