In 1963 Javelin FAW.9(R)s of 64 squadron detached to India to take part in a joint US, India, UK and Australian exercise called Shiksha. I'm currently researching this and am wondering if anyone can help with information......first hand if I'm very lucky!
I have Franks and Allwards books and they give some good accountsbut I would very much like to get some first handinput and photos if possible.

I was there, and went on to Tengah to reinforce 60 Sqdn. I have two pics of the a/c that aborted t/o and ended up at the end of Kalaikunda`s runway. Great detachment, although i ended up "commuting" between Binbrook and Tengah at three month intervals, until March ( ? ) 1965 when 64 was officially posted to FEAF. FEAF, best posting in the RAF :ok:
