Does anyone know what is happening with Perla's takeover of Aerokopter? It appears from the Dubai press that Perla's CEO, Charles D'Alberto, may be under a non-depature order for failure to pay his debts.

Some net hunting soon found this page (http://www.charlesdalberto.com). Dunno as to its truth or otherwise, but it backs up the information you put in your update. see also Charles D'Alberto (http://www.charlesdalberto.com/Who_is_Charles_D_Alberto.html)

Here's the story from Flightglobal you were referring to Dubai 2009: Aerocopter deal signals first UAE aircraft assembly line (http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2009/11/15/334903/dubai-2009-aerocopter-deal-signals-first-uae-aircraft-assembly.html) which includes the optimistic quote
already sold 130 AK1-3s for delivery in 2010 and is in talks to sell 200 to Brazil. Although the AK1-3 is certificated only in the CIS, D'Alberto says that it complies with European JAR requirements. "We're looking to get US certification," he adds.

also refer to the other Aerocopter thread (http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/384029-aerocopter-ak1-3-pt3.html) and Shawn Coyle's comments yesterday..
There is no bilateral agreement between the Ukraine and the USA for airworthiness certification. Good luck!

DB Aerocopter (also spells as Aerokopter), AK1-3 helicopter design and
manufacturing company, was never acquired by any other company
until this time.

We continue working, developing and growing up ourselves.
This is not fast and easy way, but at the moment is the best one to keep
our own full control under administration, design, manufacturing and sales
processes - the whole cycle.

DB Aerocopter company constantly improves all of these business
components. Aerocopter factory going to achive the high level of the
production quality and the end price of the aircrafts, components and
services due to the Toyota Production System components that are
implemented on its rotorcraft administration and production processes.

Warm regards,

Dear Alex

here you are writing to people who understand the market and industry.
For your future business it is not good enough to state "faked" regarding
relations with Perla & Charles. Some relations was, you know and it is
much better to claim relations are terminated or something like that...

Any way we all here like to find out about certification progress or at last
which registers are allowing AK1-3 to be operated under Permit to fly...

Good luck :ok:
