Hi All,

In the near future I am going to have the chance to get my FAA Rotary Commercial add on. I want to get my com/IR/CFI & CFII add ons. I'm currently an FAA ATP fixed wing.

I am looking for recommendations on the best instructor/school out there. Someone who has been in the Helicopter industry for a long time and has been there and done that! I am not too interested in the big academies where you turn up and go through the motions with a 200hr instructor (no offence intended, I was one of those for FW). I just want to work with someone who can really teach me to fly helicopters and give me the benefit of lots of experience. I dont mind which aircraft but will want to do some time on a jet/long ranger at the end.

I will be doing this in the States.

Thank you in advance for any pointers.

Maybe start with the search function, or even the sticky at the top of the Forum: So you want to be a Helicopter Pilot?. (http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/253856-so-you-want-helicopter-pilot.html)

Follow the 'Click Here' and see what you can find: Fixed-wing or Rotary Career/ (incl. changing licence to rotary) (http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/102183-fixed-wing-rotary-career-incl-changing-licence-rotary.html) :ok:
