I came across this in UK airport news

Seems strange that the crew on this flight couldn't have administered some sort of first aid. What would have happened if this was an Atlantic flight?

No they don't have time.... they have to learn to fly the airplane soon if ML has his way.... :)

News reporting at it's best:
A Ryanair plane en route from Liverpool Airport to Poland was forced to make an emergency landing in Germany after a 56-year-old passenger spilled a hot cup of tea on herself.
The flight from Liverpool to Poznan made the unscheduled landing in the north western German city of Bremen last Tuesday, local police said. The British woman was treated for scalding at the airport and released - but by this time the plane resumed its journey without her. She took a train to her final destination in Poland, the police said.

PS: If this is true though, they might have diverted because the woman went into shock, although going into shock because of a burnt/scald caused by a spilled cup of tea is mostly unlikely; but, you never know.
However, assuming that the OP asked a genuine question, the answer is yes, FR crew are First Aid trained (quite heavily may i add) and there are drills set in place for scalds and burns (along with many other medical emergencies) which the crew will apply when necessary.

Lynn, it would be undrinkable.
Not saying that some airlines donīt serve lukewarm drinks, but I have never heard of it as a policy. :)
Appendix 3 to EU OPS 1.1005/1.1010/1.1015 stipulates first aid training requirements for cabin crew. Among the many aspects required we find
4. Basic first aid and survival training including care of:
the unconscious
burns
wounds and
fractures and soft tissue injuries
EU-OPS 1.745 stipulates that an operator shall not operate an aeroplane unless it is equipped with first aid kits, readily accessible for use.
Among the stipulated contents of the first aid kit we find special burns dressings and burns gel.
Presuming that Ryanair operates in accordance with the law, and taking into account what long standing ppruner ABS writes above, this story as reported in the press just does not compute.
CC are trained to deal with a scalding, and the first aid kit provides the things needed to do so properly.
IMO no captain anywhere will choose to incur the cost of an unscheduled landing for a mere coffee-in-lap incident.
