I have been approached to see if I am interested in possibly joining 'HI FLY'. Does anyone know anything about them and how good an opportunity this would be? Any current crew able to shed any light on this?
I have been informed its constant standby and net pay approx £1400 per month. Based in Doncaster, flying A310.. Got to admit I have never heard of them .. does anyone have the low down?

Many thanks
H.B

From: Wikipedia.

Originally named Air Luxor when it started operations in 2003, it reorganized itself in 2006, hence the name change to the present HiFly brand. It concentrates on leasing activities. It is owned by Mirpuri Investments[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hi_Fly_%28airline%29#cite_note-FI-1).
Hi Fly operates two Airbus A310-304 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A310), one Airbus A330-243 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A330), one Airbus A330-322 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A330), two Airbus A340-313X (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A340) and two Airbus A340-542 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A340)

They've been operating on behalf of Arik Air for the past few years but Arik are taking back operations at the end of the year. I've got a friend who's worked for them and seems to be happy with them. Dont know what the operations are out of Doncaster though; might be something on behalf on Thomson Airways????

Yes HIFLY previously Air Luxor.

I worked for them in 2007 on the A330 contract to Strategic Aviation in Australia. They were good to work for, but we weren't paid through HIFLY so unsure of their payscale.
They get some interesting contracts and charters.

Just noticed a mention about Strategic..Strategic rebranded a few months ago to 'Air Australia' and have to admit I loved their livery... however they are now grounded and going through Administrators..
