Hi

Could any of you help me. I am traveling with my 19month old niece from LHR-IAH in October. Does the 777 have any kind of cots to accomodate this age baby and how would I go about requesting one?

Many thanks in advance for any info:ok:

Which cabin are you travelling in? Which flight number (some flights are operated on the 777-200, others on the 747)?

If you are in world traveller on the 777, there are two bassinet positions at seats 26DEF. As for how to get the seats allocated, I'm not 100% I'm afraid.

If your child is 6 months or under, then you will have a bassinet (cot), then 6 months to 3 years you can have a car seat (both available on board.

It is some time since I flew on a commercial aircraft but BA used to use carrycots for babies so, if I were you, I should opt for the car seat. If you have booked through a travel agent then I would think that the agent should be able to sort it for you.

If you are travelling with an infant then you can choose your seet any time after booking. For bassinet positions see;

For info on cots and seats see;

Thankyou.
Have booked hotline tickets so I know its a 777. Thought there were 2 types of cots available, bassinett type ones for infants and then a cot style on for under 3's.??..is this car seat your talking about some sort of a recline one?...and is it attached to a bulkhead or do you need to buy/request if available a spare seat?

Thanks again for any info!

The cots are quite small and really more designed towards young infants. After take off, the crew will probably walk around and ask anyone with a child in a bassinet position seat if they require a bassinet or seat. The seat for the older infant can be put in 2 positions; either in a sitting up position or a flat position for the child to sleep. If the crew don't come around for any particular reason then just ask them to set one up for you ;)
