Hi

I have some questions about the fleet if wouldn't mind answering (if they know the answer!):

- 4x ex-TOMfly 757's are off to Allegiant in the US soon. Anyone know which they are?
- I have read that all ex-TOMfly 757's will be retired in the near future (in advance of the ex-FCA birds). Any truth to this?
- G-OOBN/P - are these just in the fleet for Summer '10, and if so, what interiors have they been flying with?
- Any update on the A320/1 fleet and when they will be retired?
- Are there any ex-FCA 757s due to be retired soon (eg. G-OOBG/H/G-OOOX/Z/G-CPEP which have not been repainted?)
- Will G-DBLA/PJLO be having winglets fitted?
- G-OBYB/G-BYAJ/N are all with TUIfly - any plans for these to return to TOM?
- Any more 737-800 deliveries planned?
- Finally - anymore winglet retro-fits planned for the 757s?

I know thats a lot of questions. Any info appreciated (even if in addition to the q's I pose).

Thanks so much

Regards

Rob

I think l can help with two of the questions.
G-DBLA/PJLO will not be having winglets fitted, that is what l was told.
BP & BN have not flown this summer they are parked up at MAN and will replace two of the B757s that are leaving.
I am sure someone with more knowledge than l have will answer your questions.

According to the latest fleet info that we have received,

757
G-BYAI LEAVES NOV 10
G-BYAH LEAVES JAN 11
G-OOOZ LEAVES JAN 11
G-OOBN JOINS OCT 10
G-OOBP JOINS OCT 10
The lease plans on the 757s affect which ones go, it seems that the ex Tom 757s are on shorter lease terms than the ex FCA ones. The 2 'new' ones are sitting at MAN(there since May!) and will be painted in the UK and winglets fitted abroad. They seem to be a straight swop at cheaper lease rates than the ones that are going. No idea which interior they will have, but 'standard' FCA is 233 seats
As pilots on the 757, we too would like to know how long they will be around. "Current" plans seem to be for a while yet(5-8 years)
Painting seems to be done when there is time, hence wait and see which FCA ones are painted this winter. Same seems to be with the winglets, wait and see, but doubt if they will be fitted to the ones that seem to be coming to the end of their lease plans, mainly the ex TOM ones!!

767
G-OBYI LEAVES OCT 10
G-OBYJ LEAVES APR 11
G-DBLA and G-PJLO are on different leases and will not have winglets fitted

737
8 737-800W TO GO TO SUNWING CANADA(LEASE) LEAVING 4 737-300 AND 5 737-800 FOR THE WINTER IN THE UK
HOWEVER ONLY 2 737-300 WILL OPERATE SUMMER 11, ALL GONE BY SUMMER 12
4 NEW 737-800W DURING THE FIRST HALF OF 2011

Do not think that you will see the ex TOM a/c in Scandi back in the UK.

Hope there are some answers there!

Smudge / Spotty - thank you both for your informative answers!

Much appreciated.

Smudge - do I read into your post that you are an FCA/TOM pilot? Would love to ask you some semi-technical questions re. approaches into Greek airports if you wouldnt mind.

Thanks again folks

Rob

G-DBLA and G-PJLO, l am told lease ends 2012.

I believe TOM are trying to negotiate these to stay until B787 is intergrated

If YJ and YI are leaving whats the plan for Longhaul then S11, Obviously the ex FCA 767's but this year YJ was operating long haul so in that case is one of the other ex TOM 767s going to be converted back to longhaul
