When did I apply to them?!

Just wondering if people have similar stories...
I got a mail inviting me to interview/sim check with a UK based lo co yesterday.
My initial reaction was, "when did I apply to them?!"
I then checked back over my emails and found an acknowledgement email form them on 24/11/2009.
So I applied almost two years ago now.
Has anyone waited a similar time length or maybe longer?
