Now I got your attention, I offer a wager of 100 PPrune$$ that it will never be found due to its non-existence.

Finding the 'Higgs' was a major reason for building the LHC in the first place.

But Geneva is a wonderful city.

So is Rome. The ruins of the ancient forum are particularly inspiring.

Before building the LHC did anyone check down the back of the sofa first ?

The way big physics works now what would happen would be
"We have found the Higgs Boson but it has posed many more questions and we need a bigger machine to answer them"

Bosun Higgs, hmm, now that sounds like a chap the FSL would have stumbled across already, if he were of any consequence.

I was expecting to see someone saying "Arrrghh, matey!" when I opened the thread.

Well, I believe Bosun's chair exists.

Mind you, once you've seen one hypothetical massive scalar elementary particle, you've seen them all .....

I'm knee deep in them at present.
I must say they ALL look similar.
But I can still see my toes.

Bosun Higgs doesn't exist as a particle, he's just riding along on the crest of a wave.

I reckon the Higgs Boson is practical proof of the uncertaintly principle. Its here and there and everywhere. Wherever you want it to be.

As a boy, I had a jack-russell / fox terrier cross pet called Bosun.

As you have found him through contact with 'the other side' could I have a word, please?

He was a lovely dog, Bosun ......

:{:{:{:{

P.S. He would go by the name of Fire and brimstones bosun, I suppose ...

Yes, Dorothy Higgs' bosom is truly a marvel to behold. Oh, boson? Never mind.

Oh dear, look at the time, have to run, see you later.
