Hopefully not the same bunch of cowboys as before...

Lusaka needs a decent school that could grow to be a respectable FTO.

Thanks for the useful feed back M80, I have looked at the other posts you have put here and they all seem to be along the same lines, you are not happy with life are you?

If you have experience of the school then please let me know, because I am after information, if you only have knowledge of threads read here then also tell me, so i can make an unbiased view.

I want to know if anyone else has heard about a flight school opening or re-opening oin Lusaka please.

Please try to provide me with feed back rather htan just hearsay or slander. I have seen what was in the paper about the old flight school.

There was an article in one of the local newspapers some weeks back saying the 'cowboys' I.e. Previous management had decided to re-open....

You're trying to drum up some publicity whilst attempting to get your flight school off the ground again. Whilst understandable, you might well find that your target market adopts the attitude of "once bitten, twice shy."

Hey there Journyman, thanks for the comment, but would you mind explaining what you mean.

I have seen the bad press and i ahve now read the new press and i have talked to a few people trying to find out more.

I know the flight school stopped working last year, but that appears to be because of some issues with the Airforce, which i have been told have been sorted out, and from the stories i have heard it was because of some other people there spreading rumours and gossip that the fligth school was stopped, not because of any bad practice. indeed, i have not yet found anyone who can show me a bad report.

I know they are re-opening and i am trying to find out information for myself, so if you know of anything for definate, rather than the rumours and gossip, please tell me.

I do know that there were no students that were left out of pocket and that the Zambian aviation people seem to support the flight school reopening, and i have that on good authority.

Please, if you know more then tell me, or tell everyone, but only if you can prove it and not just gossip, please

Nick...

If you are back to have another go, good luck. Learn from the previous venture, expect there to be a lot of distrust, and I hope you have some students and instructors left who are willing to risk investing their money in an enterprise that previously skipped out of the country with no warning. I suspect that many have realised that getting an SA licence will give them a widely recognised licence from a reputable and stable school at a lower cost.

There is no 'rumour' in this post, just fact. You skipped the country taking your aircraft, some of which still languish in SA. You did not inform your students that you were leaving and they woke up one morning to find the school closed and you were gone with no explanation of if or when they were getting back their money.

I sincerely hope it all goes better this time.

Why not post up your version of what went wrong last time, instead of posing as an interested potential student?

Best regards
JM
