Hello,

I've been playing with a friend's brand new Mustang recently.

On two occasions, the autopilot has not intercepted the localiser correctly. Possibly we were a little fast on one occasion, and on the other we did not get clearance to intercept until very near the axis, which might have explained the missed interceptions.

Has anybody with more experience on the type had missed interceptions?

I've flown two. One is fine and the other one goes through to one dot the other side and re-intercepts. 160kt or less tends to keep it down to something acceptable without too much wobbling. It's not great

The Excel can be a bit slack too.

So true.
The same with the XLS. Even slowing down to less than 200 kts doesnt work sometimes.

Remember guys, XL/S, Mustangs etc... are made by the guys who built the 152s.... Say no more ;)

They also hold the speed record for Biz Jets - clearly following a muscle car approach rather than European finesse ;-)
