just hoping somebody can clear up an arguement!

Did Aeroflot ever operate out off T2 in MAN when they operated a scheduled service to SVO?

Many Thanks

Aeroflot did indeed operate out of T2 at MAN when T2 opened. Service was scheduled for Fridays and Sundays......but usually operated Sundays only to SVO with mix of TU134 and TU154 equipment, although the IL62 did crop up the odd time too if I recall correctly.

I recall seeing Aeroflot Tu104A's at MAN during the 70's but cannot remember if these were scheduled flight's or not.

They sure did, I remember seeing the TU-154s during the 90s operating.

Ah those were the days. I remember one landing on 24 & cleared left into the fantail instead of clearing right. Also another one landing and asking for an armchair with wheels ( wheelchair to us) . Time they came back.

Yes, they definately operated from T2; Dispatched them many times. SU249/250 was the schedule operated by TU134/154 with the occasional IL-62. The Friday service didn't last too long but the Sunday flight operated for many years.

They also operated a series of charters to & from Lviv with YAK 42's for a season pre Air Ukraine days, plus some cargo charters with IL-76's.

Happy days......
