Is this the end of the Biggin Hill airshow?

I take that to mean that Mr Walters has arbitrarily decided that he wants the airport entirely under his control at all times, regardless of the 3 years yet to run on the licence. That is a very dubious way of terminating a licence on one of the most popular airshow calendar venues and I would hope that AID will take legal advice on the matter.

It would seem that BHA Ltd had a change of heart with this published on their website:

Every year Biggin Hill hosts one of the most famous events on the global aviation calendar - The International Air Fair. The event attracts up to 100,000 people to the Airport, and is the largest privately run Air Show in Europe. It has been an annual occurrence since 1963. This makes the show that has just taken place in June 2009 the forty seventh in an unbroken run. A cavalcade of aircraft spanning almost 100 years of the history of aviation was on show in the air and on the ground.

Sadly, this situation has plagued the airshow circuit for years.
