A mate of mine has paid for a 737NG rating and is possibly going to the far east to work where he PAYS the airline $ 35 K to work for a year. No salary, no flight pay. What is happening to this industry ?

Question : Is anyone in Europe hiring new rated F/O's for the NG. He has done base training so is ready to go.

Any advice please for him please would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It depends on his experience prior to getting the 737 rating. If he has just got that and little else then he will be lucky to get employment in the UK. However bmibaby have recruited some experienced 737 FOs in recent days on short contracts.

It may not be an great upsurge in recruitment but for 3 of them it was a start!:ok:
