Hi, I have been told an Antonov regularly comes into the East Mids airport. Can anyone shed any light as to when it arrives/departs? Would love to see it. Thanks, Ed

I think it depends what you mean by "Antonov"? I believe that AN-12s are fairly regular there; on the occasions when I've driven past there has often been one in, although I accept that it may not be a daily occurrence. The AN-225 is not quite so common, but it has been to EMA, as, I believe, have AN-124s.

Good luck.

They are in any time RR need to shift a big engine quickly - usually on 124s, but occasionally on 225s.

Otherwise, EMA's specialist cargo facility makes it easy (and sometimes cheap) for the big aircraft to use to load/unload cargo from/to any UK place and also to fuelstop.

Thanks folks, good info their. A mates wife sorts out worldwide despatching for RR, so she'll know when they are due!
