Any information on new hire requirements for El Al? (ICAO licenses suitable?)

Keep the politics and rants off this thread. Sultan has taken a few days rest.

Thanks D3G. Worth a try. I believe they are a great airline, all in all. Looks like Boeing is favoured though.

Roy, are you fluent in Hebrew? If not, then its a no-go!

Thanks EGGW for removing the vile comments previously on the site. One love.

As an endnote: if you studied or speak arabic with relative fluency, you will pick up basic hebrew within a few days. Given a few good months of practice (4-8), living in TLV, you will be fluent.
It is absolutely surprising at every turn how these two languages are at root, exactly the same!

This is not accurate at all..! Some of the words are similar, others sound like being similar, but it's not possible at all to learn hebrew on the basis of arabic! Completely non-sense!

2 completely different/separate alphabets (arabic and hebrew). If you lived in Israel (as I do) and learned Hebrew non-stop for 6 months with an extra 6 months of "on the street" tweaking then you would reach an intermediate level.

By the way, are you in possession of an Israeli ALTP?

I have lived in Israel, I was thinking about flying there. Any info on El Al, Arkia or Israir hiring minimums?

I do speak fluent hebrew :)
