Yesterday and today have not been good days for helicoptering. The Austrian 204 is mentioned in another thread, and there has been a South African Police 117 down today, killing 7 - some details here (http://www.pprune.org/african-aviation/421924-police-chopper-down-witbank.html), including links to two press stories. There's also something down in Northern Ontario with two confirmed dead - see here (http://www.helihub.com/2010/07/23/23-jul-10-c-type-tba-elk-lake-ontario-canada-2f/) although details are still sketchy

Yesterday there were two fatal accidents with an EagleMed B2 Squirrel down in Oklahoma with one surviving of the three on board, along with something in Southern Afghanistan that NATO has declined to provide details on apart from noting a further pair of fatalities. Our thoughts to all the families suddenly bereaved as a result of these tragic incidents, and I am sure you will all concur.

From the same site, they list 38 accidents and incidents in July (http://www.helihub.com/tag/accidents/) so far, including 12 fatal accidents (http://www.helihub.com/tag/fatal+accidents/)
