View Full Version : SWA emptying their applicant pool?

This rumor can't be true....or is it?

I heard that Southwest Airlines recently email all of the current applicants thanking them for their interest in working for the company but that they were not hiring for the foreseeable future.

A contact I have at SWA doesn't know this for a fact. He said he couldn't imagine SWA dicking over people like that but said it was possible.

Anyone have any info to back this up?

A few airlines empty their applicant pool on a regular basis...it weeds out folks that have gone elsewhere or who are no longer interested.

A wise corporate decision, in my view.

Should that be 'Ted is United without uni-on'?

aviation1st,

From what I read over on APC, the the Online Pilot Application Website was brought down to be revamped but that the applications will be reinstated once the new system comes on-line.

Hope that answers your quesiton.
