Hi there,
I have a question. My friend from South Africa, who is trying to get a job in China, has been told recently, that he cannot get an airport clearance. The reason is apparently the China South African relations. I went on the internet and found, that the diplomatic relations are ok.
We are puzzled by this. He has even received the china ATPL licence.
My friend is not good with computers, so I am posting this question for him.
Is there anybody working in China as a pilot on South African passport?
Thanks for any info!

Shouldn't be a problem; I once had a colleague who worked on a South African passport without any problems. I would think it's probably an isolated issue and if he were to speak with someone else, it would be issued.
