Sorry if this is the wrong forum guys, and I'm not trying to drag up a whole debate on BA038, but I found this picture on Google while searching for a picture of a BA 777, and I was amazed (in that horrifying way) when I found this...

http://www.airlineempires.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/p31plane2dm_800x492.jpg

Is this real or fake people?? It looks like it could be real but who knows? Anyone shine a light on this? Please guys just discuss the image not the events, It's got its own thread for that

Cheers!

Wow! Right place, right time (at least for the snapper), I thought it was too 'good' to be true but you guys seem pretty convinced it's real?

p.s munster I'm not sure the mods would allow such perversions to grace this forum :E

more than likely to be fake. It somebody had taken this at the time this picture would have been sold to all the news agencies at the time. Dont seem to remember seeing this one at the time.

The snapper sold the copyright to one of the papers and bought a new lens for his camera. Have a look on airliners.net

He was as happy as larry about it all. he sold serveral of his pictures.

Allright, any suggestions as to where we can then find the pic?

I searched on airliners.net and found nothing. Is it me or is the pic gone?

I'm guessing your PC setup may be the problem Ramrise - the pic is still visible above and on the provided link.

Can you see any other pictures on the forum?

You are aware that they are hosted externally I presume?

Same problem here. Can get to and see everything else but the photo at the centre of this thread returns 'File not found'

i'm guessing it'll be a corporate proxy or some local software on the PC blocking the remote site

I swear someone on here said the whole thing was filmed from the car park at Hatton Cross and the film had duly been submitted to the authorities. I wonder if this footage actually exists and if it will ever surface?

Can't see the image or follow the link either! I suspect it's a Domain DNS issue. :{

Okay...
I copied the photo, uploaded it to photobucket, and downloaded it here again. Can you folks (who couldn't see it before) see it now?
