Red Arrows over Buck house 06/07/10

I saw the Red Arrows over Buckingham Palace while approaching a closed of Mall, anyone with suggestions.
At the same time a BA Airbus was banking over about 2,000ft-3,000ft establishing for the 27's, so the crew and passengers must of got good view.


Earlier that morning I saw what looked to be a C-17 Globemaster / C-5 Galaxy or could have even been a IL-76 pass slightly North of Heathrow in a Westerly direction in the region of 12,000ft-15,000ft.

Can't really help you but I also saw, and most definitely heard, the Red Arrows passing almost directly over me and was wondering if anybody had any further info on what they were up to. Quite a thunder as they came past I must say!

yup.
its to mark the 150th birthday of the cadets,(army,sea,air)
7 air cadets were chosen from around the country to fly in the back seats for the fly past.

Thanks for the Info Purplehelmet, I did hear a few marching brass bands now you mention it but wondering as the Queen and Co are out touring Canada & America.

Would have been more like 3-4000 ft out there.
