Hi,

I am looking for initial training on CL 605.
Apart from Montreal Training Center of Bombardier, is there any other place?

Many thanks.

Not yet, but I think Burgess Hill or Dubai is getting one. So is DFW shortly. OR, go to a CL 604 rating and do the 2-day differences course.

Right now it's only Montreal. DFW is the only other 605 sim coming in the near future. Those other locations mentioned above are a while away, if at all.

The 604 Sim from Montreal is going to europe(amsterdam, I think) later this year.

The 604+2 day course sounds like a good alternative.
On that note, does the 2 day transition have to be done in a 605 sim?
I am asking because the 605 sim in fully booked for the summer.

Cheers.

No, the DFW site will do the 605 differences course w/o the sim. It is basically a ground school on the few systems differences and ProLine 21 plus some time on a computer trainer.

If you are JAA be sure that the CAA accept DFW, as I dont think they do. Montreal is the official CAA 605 conversion.

Just spoke to them about it.

Since you are here - what's the drill with regards to touch and go's?
When I was working for the airlines we did it after the sim, is this the case here or you can obtain a UK CAA type rating without it?
