Hi all, just curious as to the origins of an extremely large 4-engine jet (of almost A380 proportions) departing out of Nice today at 14.30 approx. Curiously, there was no mention of it on the departures pages of the airport. I presume it was a big cargo freighter of some sort - it's colour scheme was white with bands of blue running horizontally along the fuselage. Sorry for the vague description but I didn't have time to fetch my glasses.

Yes, that's the one thanks very much! It was pretty spectacular to watch it depart - I would say it used every inch of the runway. It's climb performance was significantly different to the usual run of the mill 737s, A320s etc departing Nice.

She's parked in Zurich now.
