Hi all,

Around a year ago QF announced that the A333s will be getting a cabin upgrade including the new (red) seat covers in economy, as well as the new style carpets and curtains.

Does anyone know if this has happened or happening?

Also what are the chances of the Intl A333/A332s getting the upgraded A380 style AVOD and seats?

Thanks

Any of the 4 Intl config A330-200s. The will also be operating SYD-AKL-SYD flights to enable aircraft rotation etc

Never mind the 330 getting a cabin upgrade, what about the B767 that services PER-NRT? It's like something from the 1970s. I mean, who on Earth (apart from the low-standard US carriers) doesn't have flat beds in Business in this day and age? You pay a lot of money for an extremely lack-lustre product. I've got no qualms with the B767. Good, safe workhorse but the QF cabin, especially in Business, is a disgrace. Albeit only three times a week (when they don't randomly reduce it), I prefer the non-stop service of QF but maybe it's time to stop supporting the Red Rat and lust, instead, at the SQ girls :)

upgrade for the A330-300 or 200. lets not talk about the 767. according to AJ it makes money on the Hnl trips. :yuk:

I must admit the domestic business class product varies across fleet. A330 > B767 > B737. On routes such as SYD-MEL where you can potentially be on any of the three, I would definitely try to organise my trip to fit around the aircraft.

EBM & N both have next generation Panasonic IFE. Both Are A330-200.

I recently flew on a B737 that did not have partitioning between business class and the uncleansed masses. Is this a one off or common?

If I were paying the big bucks for upfront I would not be happy.

The 737-400s with the covertible seating all lack the seperation between business and economy. Only the 800s have 3 rows of dedicated perminant business.

Hi good folks.

Can I suggest if you are going to fly in J class, check out seatguru.com . It may make your selectiion of Airline easier.

You could of course call Travel Professionals like my crew, but you are of course too clever for that!!:E:E

Air NZ have similar aged 767's to QF (maybe slightly younger) and at least they have re-done the interiors with seat-back IFE in all classes, pity the same innovation does not exist at their Australian opposition...the 767's are an embarrassment...

You know I looked at the title of this thread and thought "fantastic, there's gonna be some Command upgrades in Qantas on the A330 for some of my friends who have been there for decades". Then I get into the story only to find out that your talking about cabin interior upgrades? WTF? This is a professional pilots forum and your talking about cabin interior upgrades....boring! If you fly professionally for a living then the holy grail has got to be your first Jet command? Surely you can't be serious (and stop calling me Shirley) that all you can talk about in Qantas is Cabin interior upgrades. I apologise in advance if I've offended anyone but I really don't care about cabin interior upgrades.:ugh:

And considering one of the factors customers pick an airline is their cabin interiors (and not usually who is in command) I think its a fairly important issue!

agreed...!!
anyway I try and avoid flying on 767's on long legs i.e BNE to Perth. The old IFE system of QF needs to move with the times and upgrade.

Well, I'm the exact opposite. Having flown the 767 for 12 years, I always look for their services on any domestic legs that I travel on. The IFE is of little interest. And yes, I know the interiors should have been redone years ago, but I expect that wouldn't have been an issue if the 787s had been delivered on time.

But they are tough old girls, and I've had far less trouble with them, than I've had with brand new aircraft from the other maker.
