Turboengine Lubrication

Hello,
I've got some questions about engine lubrication, regarding a presentation I have to do on the subject for my end of year...
And before anyone gets bored, I had a search through google, youtube, but hardly found what I wanted to know. So I'm asking here :)
(If anyone has a relevant link to turboengines lubrication circuits, I'd be glad to see them !)

- when do you use mineral oil, when do you use synthetic oil ?

- what can you tell me about oil in exploitation ?

- what can you tell me about oil in maintenance ?
the only things I know about are:
if the oil level almost didn't move following a flight, there might be a hole in the fuel/oil heat exchanger
using the magnetic caps to check for metallic particles

read the maintenance manual for the engine you are working on, you will find it boring as it has no plot and the storyline is crap, but the content of this book is lifesaving

1st off are we talking Turbo charged as in piston or Turbo Prop as in Jet......
