Hi all,

a certain school in the UK has denied to start my flight training due to the fact that I hold a Greek initial class 1 but with a renewal from a UK CAA AMS.
As far I understand from reading the FCL and LASORS regulation, nothing is stopping me for commencing training but will have to send the SOLI form to obtain a UK CAA ref. number prior to issue of my CPL.

Please share any comments.

Contact Gatwick medical to sort things out.

You are correct you only need all the ticks in the box just before the test.

The school proberly has had issues in the past with this sort of thing And have made it policy not to get involved by making it one of thier requirments to start thier course. It might seem unfair but if they start banging thier heads off paper work issues near the end its a complete pain in the bum and creates a whole heap of work for zero money gain.

Hi and thanks for the answer but for the school to have such a requirement , is like we are saying that we don not accept JAR documents......

Anyway we moved to another school that knows the regulations better.
