I see it won't be long before every departure by every aircraft (cargo, biz, private) from UK will be taxed.

See £300 tax on your family's holiday: Airport charges set to soar in the hardest-hitting Budget in 30 years | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1287772/300-tax-familys-holiday-Airport-charges-set-soar-hardest-hitting-Budget-30-years.html)

This will shake up the accounts? :ooh:

I can't see any reason why UK departing passengers needing long haul flights will not just fly on the cheap tax bracket to mainland Europe and then catch a connecting flight to their destination. Meaning for these passengers no extra tax and also extra revenue for non-British airlines.

As regards Bizjets and Cargo there are still a lot of details missing on how expensive and therefore damaging to the industry (at a terrible time) this will end up being.

At least its not being forced on us disguised as some form of magic green tax.
