I belong to Coleman Aero Club in Germany. It is affliated with the military. I need to take my FAA PPL written exam but don't want to want to fly back to the states. Is there any where in Europe to do it at? I don't really want to drive all the way to Paris to take it there.

My instructors are FAA licensed or certified so that will not be an issue.

Hi,

I know that in Paris Le Bourget Airport at Flight Safety facilities, you can do that.
You can also do your IR and CPL FAA exams.

Cheers.

I'm an FAA rated pilot flying both single engine and commercially in Europe.
Also I'm an AF Reservist assigned to Stuttgart.
Contact Mr Hans Schaefer in Stuttgart. +491775277152
He should be able to point you in the right direction.
You could also contact the US Consulate in Frankfurt and ask for the FAA rep, he/she also may be able to help.
I'm surprised the folks at Coleman couldn't point you in the right direction. I have contemplated joining there but right now just too far to travel.

good luck,

Lifter
