Dutch media are reporting that a Ryan Air flight did a RTO after V1.... not seen anything on here... but curious what the story is!

The media are reporting an eye witness saying the nose wheel was off the runway when the the aircraft than abandoned it takeoff run. (I highly doubt this - however if it is true then it was a very serious incident)

Hi PT6A,

All I have is this link from Avherald. Doesn't say much more than what you mentioned, but gives the reg and PAX count.

Incident: Ryanair B738 at Eindhoven on Jun 4th 2010, rejected takeoff (http://www.avherald.com/h?article=42c733bc&opt=0)

According to luchtvaartnieuws.nl (http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/news/?ID=35159) the source of the "nosewheel of the runway" rumour is a tw.tter by Lex Runderkamp who was on board. Lex is a valued journalist of NOS (dutch BBC), but I wouldn't think of him as an expert on aviation.

As he was in the plane, he probably wasnot an eyewitness. More like he "felt" it.

It is worrying to see 'anonymous' in the Av Herald on Saturday suggest that because it stopped on the runway it must have been before V1 - and then be thanked by 'Walter' for his knowledgeable input. Walter has, no doubt, gone way with COMPLETELY the wrong idea about V1. No doubt several others, including up and coming pilots may well be misguided similarly.

Whatever happened - it worked:ok:
