APNEA (APNIA?)

I originally posted this on Questions with no success, I guess this IS the correct forum after all.

Can anyone tell me if the condition Apnea (sp?)would prevent the granting of a Class 1?

Apnoea = not breathing.

Whether apnoea is disqualifying will depend largely on the cause of the apnoea. The best person to ask is your aeromedical examiner.

I thought apnoea just meant snoring?

It is not normally a problem on flight decks, they told me....
