VB have sacked a bunch of blunts who were regularly "enjoying" porn at work. No issue there but for a company who arguably are founded on and advertised through Richard Branson's carefully measured "sleaze" it is somewhat of a double standard.

Your average prude probably thinks the half-naked nose art women and sleazy sex-based advertising are bad enough. Calendars. Seems laughable for them to then sack people for their own not outrageous (by today's standards) enjoyment of porn (albeit in the workplace).

I saw that. Anyone know what end of the spectrum the stuff was at, i.e. were they looking at bonkythedonkey.com or just naked people?
Had they been warned previously?
Every worker in the country probably has something inappropriate on their work computer these days.

Sydney has been running on three cylinders for quite a while now, the new boss has worked the place out fairly quickly! Maybe a clean out to put the team on notice?

I think the honeymoon is over here, its accountability and pull your weight, or otherwise, Bye Bye!!!!!!!:ok:

From what I've seen/heard around the place, the stuff was pretty full on. Hardcore porn powerpoint presentations and videos being forwarded on like they were nothing.

There's a pretty straight up IT policy at VB (like most workplaces) so no excuses really...in saying that though, rumours abound that SYD was overstaffed in the Pit Crew department so this was a great way to clean out a whole heap, and if more are needed, they will be hired on the new disgracefully low EBA wages.
