What are airlines with so few A380s delivered so far doing with the pilots?

Are A380 pilots for Air France only flying the A380? If so what are they doing in the mean time with so few flights each day? Or are they on other types as well?

Re your Question

If you dont have too many A/C u dont have too many pilots simple answer I would have thought

The airlines only train enough Crews to cover what they need.

It would be very unusual I thing if A380 Crew were flying other types

I know B757 and B767 are considered similar types and crew can interchnage but not with A380 I dont think

Sim rides a-plenty to maintain currency, I'd reckon.

Also could be a reason why AF are putting on LFPG-EGLL trips over the summer - to give the crews some operational training.

I'd suggest other A380 carriers did not have the A380 pilots on other types during their A380 down-time.

I would guess at leaving them on the aircraft they were originally trained on and flying that until their conversion courses....IE: training them in time for the aircraft being delivered rather than training loads of pilots with no aircraft to fly!!:ugh:
