Hello,

I'd like to have some info about that guernsey based company on the ATR fleet. Are they looking for FOs by any chance? And what about their terms and conds? What's the salary?

John

Hi Camel toe,

Thank you for your reply. My boyfriend is from Guernsey so there's no much trouble for me to stay there on a long term basis.
Do you have information about their First Officer salary by any chance?

Try PPJN

Also my contacts tell me Aurigny may be hiring 1or 2 more FOs in the very near future.

Blue Islands only have the 1 ATR 42 at the moment, so not much crew needed for it. Also just because your boyfriend is from Guernsey doesn't necessarily mean you get around the housing/work license required for non-locals to work there. I'm also pretty sure that in that stack of cv's they have a fair few pilots who offered to work for free for a period of time just so they can get some flying under their belt.

Anyone know what they are paying before I go and stick an unrealistic salary expectation in? I'm looking at similar to Aurigney, hopefully because if it's anything or much less it's not doable with the cost of housing in GUR.

Their skippers only earn £40k with no pension. I have no up to date information but given that hasn’t increased in years either expect about £26k for an FO.

Bearing in mind what is happening in the real world at the moment, anyone just out of training will probably be very lucky to earn even that for a long time, as will many experienced pilots.
