Total gibberish. Reads like somebody has taken some aviation terminology and ran it through a food processor. What does the GPU and the nose wheel door have to do with EGT? I am sure the bleed air fouled the TCAS as well. Nice try Mr. journalist. Go back investigating what the neighbour's dog did to the farmer's pet chicken.

Since "the sources" weren't responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft, the "sources" should refrain from judging the pilot, and stick to reporting the facts of the situation, not their opinion...:ugh:

The GPU line plugs in just ahead of the nosewheel.....so if someone taxis out with it still connected(and this has hapened before)the line is likely to snag in the nosewheel door.
The old V2500-A1 engines are prone to high EGTs during Take Off in high ambient temperatures(and agian this has led to rejected Take Offs on earlier occassions too)
So the HT story is not total gibberish....just an account of another bad day at Indian(now also called Air India)
Ofcourse some Capts are more predisposed to this kind of think than others...and in the case of Air India they dont get filtered out any more... just plug along(improving their survival skills slightly in the process)
In the old days people have lost their Command for lesser transgressions.
To be fair.. the majority of them are quite on the ball.

Rubbish journalism:

Aircraft did not taxi without clearance.

Slight damage to nose-wheel door by GPU - plane did not hit truck; truck hit plane.

Aircraft had an unrelated RTO.
