"George Raymond Gilbert,
19.1.1922 - 22.5.2010.
Late of the RAAFA Estate Bull Creek, passed away after a short illness"......

Ex RAAF and of more 'recent' times,
VH-CPB, C340, Boomerang Air Services if I remember the title correctly.

'Nothing' seemed to 'phase' him.
One of Nature's True Gentlemen, and a nice bloke as well.
Met George many times and at several locations over the years.

Was that the same "George" who flew a C206 on mining survey with a camera operator by the Hank in the late 80's ???

Nice bloke George. Always found him almost incomprehensible on the radio with his oxygen mask on. Then I met him and he sounded the same...
