IL76 into Mildenhall today.
Sitting on sun lounger near Bury St. Edmunds, 13.15BST to day. IL76 floats majestically past at about 3,000 feet, heading east. I watched it to see which way it turned, either for Stansted or Mildenhall, and it turned left into the Mildenhall circuit. Anybody any ideas for it's presence there???

PAPERTIGER. Coincidence department, or what. You will find this bizarre, but absolutely true.
I couldn't get off my lounger and go and find out, because on one side of me was my wife, and on the other side, whilst this Soviet transport whistled past, was a beautiful woman friend of ours from the former Soviet Union [Tblisi, Georgia], who, perhaps even more bizarrely, has the christian name of her former cold war enemy, NATO, [pronounced Nahto]!!!

Came from Bamako in Mali, and left to Stockholm, interesting as I noted a Miami Air 738 went thru Mildenhall to Bamako a few weeks ago! Any connection there?

US forces have a presence in Bamako: U.S. forces train African armies - Washington Times (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/may/13/us-forces-train-african-armies/)

Don't know what the Swedish connection is though. Weaponry ?
