Hi,
I was at RAF Coningsby, trying to get some decent photos of the Typhoon (I failed :ugh:) and was lucky enough to see a number of 3 sqn aircraft.
I noticed that there were some variations of the code and badge on the tails and wondered if that had any meaning, for example
All aircraft bar one were coded OU-, this I know is the former allocated letters from WWII, but I also saw one coded O-UA (on both sides so not a mistake I presume) and with regards the to sqd badge I saw that one aircraft had the cockatrice facing towards the nose but on others the cockatrice was always facing towards the left.
What is the significance of the differences?
